Agile: Are We There Yet? (Virtual 12 pm - 1 pm)
Agile - Are We There Yet?
Most organizations struggle with Agile adoption. Typically, our goal is to systematically establish Agile patterns that will ultimately support better predictability, transparency, alignment and enhance our ability to deliver. However, the landscape is littered with an array of differing approaches that complicate the change journey.
This session will focus on a whirlwind tour of the origins and the evolution of the Agile movement and a quick review of its current state. We will explore many of the facets of agility and how it ties into project planning and delivery. Finally, the session will culminate in a speculative examination of what comes next.
In summary, we will explore:
- Agile Genesis (Lean thinking, manufacturing)
- The Software Delivery Explosion (Early use)
- Codifying the Approach (Standards & models)
- Expanding Scope (Scaling, extending use)
- Framework Proliferation (Why and what)
- Fads and Trends (Terminology, Tools)
- What's Next?
- Key Takeaways
This 1-hour interactive session will include participatory exercises and includes time for a brief Q&A
