Agile 101 with Scrum (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
Education Class - Details to be sent to registrants after registration closes
"Agile 101 with Scrum" is a workshop that uses Scrum to learn about agile. The course format suits everyone from Coaches to those new to agile. Learn agile by doing. Scrum dominates the world of agile. The Scrum Guide, the seminal document describing Scrum, was updated in 2020. Whether you are new to Scrum or an experienced specialist, understanding the Scrum Guide and its updates is important for agile practitioners. The agile "market" demands our understanding of Scrum, and the major scaled agile frameworks and toolkits (i.e., SAFe and Disciplined Agile) use Scrum as a foundational building block.
The course has a deep focus on the Scrum Guide and foundational agile, and is a mixture of traditional instruction and a "flipped Class format". The flipped format spends 80% of class time working together in Teams. Teams work in immersive virtual environments using Zoom rooms and Miro online products provided as part of the course. Brainscape online learning technology is also provided to students and used in the class. This progressive system allows students to start the Agile learning journey and continuously improve their learning after the class.
