Project Readiness: Creating the Project Charter (for Nonprofit Organizations)
Webinar - Details will be sent to registrants after registration and prior to webinar.
Is your project ready for execution?
The most successful projects begin with a well-developed project plan and the most successful project plan begins with a well-developed project charter. Project Management Institute New York City (PMINYC) is sponsoring a free event designed to help nonprofit organizations understand and develop a well thought out project charter.
The goal of the event is to provide nonprofit organizations with the tools they can use to improve project readiness and create a guiding document known as the project charter.
The session will walk through a simple example of a project and the components contributing to the creation of your initiative’s charter.
Using our project charter template, you will be able to create your own project charter which can then be used to form the basis for your communication and planning.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Create your project charter through an easy-to-use template.
- Define a statement of scope.
- Describe assumptions influencing your initiative.
- Create a high-level cost, resource, and time estimate.
- Identify high level risks.
