-- Master Tutorial -- AI & It's Effects on Data (1 to 4:30 PM)
SCHEDULE:
Master Tutorial - AI and It's Effects on Data (Leadership. Monetization, Governance) |
Day(s): Wednesday |
Meeting Date(s): 05/21/2025 |
Start Time: 01:00 PM |
End Time: 04:30 PM |
A most important lesson when applying the Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBOK) is that the wedges are more powerful when applied in concert, as opposed to individually. This class will discuss the specific impact of AI on three of the wedges: Data Leadership, Data Monetization and Data Governance (DG).
When focusing on DG, AI’s primary impact is on gathering, filtering, and analyzing
information relevant to various DG decisions. DG can best be defined as “managing
data decisions with guidance”.
When approaching the topic of data monetization, AI must be seen as a primary source of monetization fuel (Garbage in → garbage out.).
Finally, when examining the topic of Data Leadership, it is good to keep in mind the
recurring phrase “Your job will not be taken by AI, your job will be taken by
someone who knows how to use AI better than you.” The sooner you begin to use
various AI capabilities, the more effective your data leadership will be.
Join us on May 21st to learn how Artificial Intelligence can have an impact on the DMBOK and its
components.
