Event Details

The potential for an interruption of service or the loss of capital assets, including people, has been and continues to be a major concern among business managers and leaders across all industries. Natural and man- made disasters seem to be growing in frequency and intensity. Establishing and communicating a practical, concise, and easily communicated strategy for dealing with disasters and major business interruptions is an extremely important part of business planning. This session provides information and techniques that will assist an organization in developing a plan that will mitigate potential risk situations, educate employees and project team members about the importance of a planned and practiced disaster recovery process, and ensure that disaster recovery and business continuity procedures are practiced and updated regularly.

Program Agenda:
   •  Definition of a Disaster
   •  Common Causes of Disaster
   •  Connecting Disaster Recovery with Business Continuity
   •  Project Managing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

   •  Thinking positive about Risk Management
   •  Becoming “Contingency Prepped”
   •  Next Steps and Action Items
