PMINYC Mentorship Team Speakers:

Panelist: Ileana Griffiths

Ileana Griffiths has worked in several industries – Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Non-profit, and for the last 21 years in the Healthcare industry for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield.  For Horizon, she spent the first two years as a Sales Consultant, then the next 11 as a PM in the EPMO, implementing vendor delegated processes from in-house to external process experts.  Post EPMO, she served the company as an Account/Implementation Manager for a Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) program that worked with underserved communities throughout NJ in partnership with major hospitals.

 

For the last three years, in her current role, as an Implementation Manager, she uses both project management and business knowledge and skills to achieve quality performance improvement metrics. These programs help members close healthcare gaps to ensure better health outcomes. This organizational area is a major participant in helping meet overall corporate wellness goals.

 

Panelist: Srilatha (Sri) Vuthoori

Ms.Vuthoori, MS, PMP, has served as SVP of Drug Development Portfolio Management at Moleculin Biotech, Inc., since 2024 and previously VP since 2021, and Executive Director since 2018, where she leads cross-functional program strategy, operations, and lifecycle management for oncology drug candidates including Annamycin and p-STAT3 inhibitors. With more than 25 years of experience across the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries—spanning biologics, cell therapy, and small molecules—Ms. Vuthoori has managed programs across oncology, ophthalmology, autoimmune, and other therapeutic areas at leading organizations including Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Allergan, Pfizer Centers for Therapeutic Innovation, Mesoblast, and SELLAS Life Sciences. She holds an M.S. in Molecular Oncology and Immunology from New York University and a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

 

Panelist: Anthony Mampilly

Anthony brings a wealth of project management experience across diverse industries, including technology, finance, government, and healthcare. Currently, he lends his expertise as a consultant for a prominent utility company in New York.

Beyond his technical and strategic capabilities, Anthony is deeply committed to people development. He takes great pride in mentoring individuals at all career stages—from recent entrants to mid-career professionals—helping them find direction, focus, and ultimate self-reliance. In his spare time, Anthony channels his passion for innovation into volunteering as a judge for youth robotics competitions.

 

Panelist: Claudel Seide

Claudel Seide has been a member of the PMI-NYC Mentoring Program since 2023, and he has been a PMP® since 2008.  He was the PMI-NYC Program Manager for Career Development, from 2010 to 2015. He was a member of the PMI-NYC Annual Symposium Team, from 2014 until 2017.

Mr. Seide is a business leader, entrepreneur, and investor. He has over 30 years of professional experience. He has held leadership roles with many companies including Verizon Communications, Globix Corporation, NEON Communications, Quality Technology Services, Sungard Availability Services.

Mr. Seide has managed high-performance teams of highly skilled professionals, based in the United States and overseas. He has successfully led a very large portfolio of projects and programs, involving hundreds of millions in capital expenditures. He was the Recipient of Leadership Excellence Award (@ Verizon Communications) and President's Club Award (@Globix Corporation).

Mr. Seide earned an MBA from Long Island University, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from NYU School of Engineering, and a master’s Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University.   

 

Panelist: Michael Benavides

Michael Benavides is an enterprise program, project, and PMO leader with a long track record of delivering complex, crossfunctional initiatives for major financial institutions
and consulting organizations. Known for bridging the gap between technology and business areas as well as turning around troubled projects, he brings deep technical
expertise, strong executive communication, and the ability to rapidly integrate into organizations and build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.

Michael has led enterprise programs at Segal, driven regulatory and resolution planning at CIT and JPMorgan Chase, and managed largescale technology and operations
transformations at Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Citigroup, and Bank Leumi. His work has strengthened regulatory compliance, improved capital and liquidity processes,
enhanced operational continuity, and reduced costs. He provides program management, PMO leadership, and advisory services to clients seeking disciplined execution and strategic insight.

Michael has been a member of PMI since 2008 and is currently volunteering for PMI as a Member of Judging Committee for the PMI PMO Global Awards. He has also been a
volunteer mentor at PMINYC since 2024.

Michael holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Connecticut and maintains PMP and PMOCP certifications.

 

Moderator: Nicholas (Nick) Aprigliano

Nicholas (Nick) Aprigliano has been the Director of the PMI-NYC Mentoring Program since 2022.  He started as a mentor in 2018, became Assistant Director in 2020, and finally the Director in 2022.  To help pay his mortgage, Nick is also a Senior Director in the Enterprise PMO at New York City Health + Hospitals. He has worked for the City since 2013 and has been a Hospital Project Manager for the last 26 years.  Nick led the technical "Cutover" to a new electronic medical record system for twelve New York City Hospitals.
