World Cup Great Walk
PMINYC chapter is proud to partner with Project Managers without Borders, Andrew Funk, and Homeless Entrepreneur by supporting them with the 8th Edition World Cup Great Walk from July 14-18, 2026. PMI NYC members will join Andrew and his team by walking with them on the last 18.5 mile leg of the 93 mile journey from Philadelphia to MetLife Stadium (NJ). The initiative aims to raise awareness, funds, and engage the community to end homelessness, with a focus on empowering 1350 people, give a voice to the 150 million homeless people worldwide, and promote sustainable solutions to homelessness.

We will email you a location pin for both iPhone and WhatsApp one hour before the event, which you can use to catch up with us.
The route is flexible, and we will stop for multiple breaks to snack, hydrate, and use the restrooms. You are welcome to join for however long you wish. We will travel from Chelsea Piers through the Vessel, Madison Square Garden, Times Square, Central Park, Harlem, the George Washington Bridge, Leonia, NJ, and Little Ferry, NJ, before reaching our destination at MetLife Stadium around 5 or 6pm depending on our pace. We will most likely stop for lunch in Leonia, NJ around 1pm.
Please dress appropriately for the weather, which is expected to be between 71 and 85 degrees. We recommend wearing breathable clothing and sunscreen, and bringing a refillable water bottle and snacks.
