Event Details

The potential for an interruption of business operations, loss of services, damage to capital assets, and most importantly, the impact on an organization's employees, has been and continues to be a major concern among business managers and leaders across all industries. Natural and man- made disasters seem to be growing in frequency and intensity. Establishing and effectively communicating a practical, concise strategy for dealing with disasters and major business interruptions is an extremely important part of business planning.

Business Continuity refers to the ability of an organization to maintain essential functions during and after a disaster, ensuring that operations can continue despite interruptions.

Disaster Recovery focuses specifically on the restoration of IT systems, operations, services provided, and data access after a disaster has occurred, addressing the objective of resuming normal operations as quickly as possible.

This 1-hour session provides an overview of the disaster recovery and business continuity planning process, and practical information that will assist in initiating a BC-DR strategy.

A more detailed workshop is scheduled for 7/16, designed to prepare attendees with tools and techniques for developing comprehensive BCDR plans and processes is now available on our calendar (see detail at https://pminyc.org/calendar?eventId=46952).
