Mentoring Workshop: Tips for Building and Maintaining Mentee Relationships

Join us for a virtual mentor workshop with our very own PMINYC Chapter Member, Charmagne Tellis, PMP, PgMP, PfMP, and gain valuable insights from one of our esteemed PMINYC Mentors. Charmagne has been mentoring with PMINYC for many years and is an accomplished, valued, and highly respected mentor in the PMINYC Mentorship Program. She has built strong partnerships with her mentees, who hold her in high regard. In this workshop, Charmagne will share best practices for building and maintaining strong mentor-mentee relationships.
About Our Speaker:
Charmagne Tellis is an IT Project, Program and Portfolio Management Leader with 25+ years experience in various industries (Management Consulting, Marketing, Retail, Media & Entertainment). She started her IT career at Business Management Consulting firm McKinsey & Company as an Executive Assistant while in Graduate school working her way up to the position of IT Project Manager. After leaving McKinsey, Charmagne leveraged her Consulting industry background in various roles over the past 15 years to set up and lead IT PMOs. Currently, Charmagne is a PMO Director at Media & Entertainment company NBCUniversal leading Program Management for large, strategic initiatives in support of the company's most critical Corporate Functions.
Charmagne has been a member of PMI since 2006 and holds PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) and Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certifications. She has been a mentor for the PMI New York City Chapter since 2019 mentoring numerous Project and Program Managers at varying levels of experience helping them achieve a range of goals from defining their career path, to strategizing for their job search and preparing for PMI certification application submission.
