About the Event
Coding is more than just a technical skill; it blends logic with creativity, connecting various disciplines, including science, technology, communication, engineering, mathematics, arts, and languages. Learning to code fosters logical thinking, enhances problem-solving skills, and sparks innovation.
Project managers engage with many stakeholders, including coders and programmers. Considering the continuing rapid development of technology and the increasing use of AI and digitization of many functions across all industries, it is important for project managers to have a fundamental understanding of the role of the coder.
Computer code is the language that narrates and defines the digital world we live in. It is material to the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems that permeate all facets of our lives.
"On World Coding Day, UNESCO is reaffirming its commitment to making coding accessible to all. By developing these skills and ensuring greater inclusion, we enable everyone to adapt to the challenges of the digital age and participate in a more equitable future."
The PMINYC Outreach Organization has scheduled an event to recognize World Coding Day and the connection between project managers and the important role of the coder.
Please join us on October 29 at 6pm for a virtual panel discussion that will focus on the connection between the project manager and the coding teams that provide the creativity and innovation behind the features and functions of the support systems that drive many projects.
