Candidate for President
Christopher Joseph

Biography
Christopher Joseph MBA, PMP, CSAP brings an extensive strategy background in his career working in the financial, city government, and non-profit sectors. He is currently a Director for a NYC Agency where he develops strategy and builds reporting for multiple agency wide initiatives.
Christopher joined PMI NYC in 2019 immediately volunteering on the chapter’s Programs Team demonstrating his desire to give back to the profession. He has also served four years on the Board as the Vice President of Technology. He is known for fostering community and inclusiveness.
As a PMI NYC technology leader, Christopher was responsible for developing the technology strategy and end-to-end capabilities across PMI NYC chapter. Christopher worked closely with his fellow Board members and developed solutions to support the Chapter’s vision and that of the individual departments. He introduced a more streamlined experience for PMI NYC members and created a robust Information Security Program for the chapter centered around Security and Automation.
His achievements include:
1-Redesigning the chapter website.
2-Researching and implementing the chatbot to respond to customers by providing instant resolution, omnichannel support and self-service with a 90% response success rate.
3-Identifying and integrating an enterprise collaboration platform for all PMI NYC volunteers to build customizable business apps, centralize data and communication versus email threads, automate workflows, develop real time dashboards, and introduce granular security controls and cross device access.
4-Sourcing and implementing security awareness training for all chapter volunteers.
5-Directing the integration of DocuSign to enhance workflow efficiencies for the chapter eliminating paper-based bottlenecks for volunteers and contractual documentation.
In the pursuit to increase value to PMI NYC’s customers, members, and volunteers, Christopher works across departments ensuring alignment and integration of enterprise and departmental strategies. His ability to reach across the aisle is fundamental to his success.
He holds the following certifications in ITIL Strategist, Security+ CYSA, and AWS Solutions Architect.

Fred Stein

Biography
I started as a programmer; held Management positions as Director of Data Processing for Overseas National Airways, Vice President of Systems and Development for Pagex Systems and Vice President of General Services for Prudential-Bache, with responsibility for Computer Operations, Mail and Printing Operations, Forms Design, Compliance Publications, Records Management and Purchasing. I was also a principal of Global Web UnLtd. Inc., a consulting organization. Clients have included:
Banks: ING Barings, JP Morgan, Citibank, Swiss Bank
Brokerage: Salomon Brothers
Insurance: Metropolitan Life Insurance, Prudential Insurance
Entertainment: CBS Television; Viacom; Paramount Pictures; IDT Entertainment
Other: Metropolitan Museum of Art, Dow Jones Telerate, EDS
Vision
My vision of the Vice President of Professional Development role has several components:
To provide learning opportunities for members to be inspired and empowered to achieve their full potential. This includes:
Classes for certifications.
Classes for project management tools.
Classes with soft skills.
Professional Development Day – an event that includes interesting speakers on PM topics, in an environment where attendees can network and collaborate.
Agile and AI Programs – programs focused on communicating information about these relatively recent but extremely important aspects of project management to our members.
Volunteer Development – work with volunteers to expand their toolset and capabilities as volunteers both in their professional lives and in their role with PMINYC.
