This course prepares current Scrum Masters for their leadership role in facilitating Agile team, program, and enterprise success in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) implementation.
The course covers facilitation of cross-team interactions in support of program execution and relentless improvement. It enhances the Scrum paradigm with an introduction to scalable engineering and DevOps practices, the application of Kanban to facilitate the flow of value, and supporting interactions with architects, product management, and other critical stakeholders in the larger program and enterprise contexts. The course also offers actionable tools for building high-performing teams and explores practical ways of addressing Agile and Scrum anti-patterns.

    •      Preparation and eligibility to take the SAFe® 5 Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) exam
    •      One-year membership to the SAFe Community Platform
    •      Course certificate of completion.

Learning Goals: To perform the role of an Advanced Scrum Master attendees will be able to:
    •      Apply SAFe principles to facilitation, enablement, and coaching in a multi-team
        environment
    •      Build a high-performing team and foster relentless improvement at scale
    •      Address Agile and Scrum anti-patterns
    •      Support the adoption of engineering practices, DevOps, and Agile architecture
    •      Learn to apply Kanban eXtreme Programming frameworks to optimize flow and improve
         the team’s work
    •      Facilitate program planning, execution, and delivery of end-to-end systems value
    •      Support learning through participation in Communities of Practice and innovation cycles.

Who Should Attend?
All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience, it is highly recommended that attendees who intend to take the SAFe® 5 Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) certification exam have one or more of the following:  SSM, CSM and / or PSM.

Speaker Bio:

Stephen Gristock is the Regional Agile Delivery Lead for the New York area. He has over 30+ years broad experience acquired across finance, advisory consulting, media, e-commerce, risk & compliance and software services sectors. Stephen has played a number of roles including Compliance Specialist, Advisory Consultant, PMO Manager, Process Improvement Consultant and Agile Transformation Leader.

Prior to joining Eliassen Group, Stephen worked at Thomson Reuters as a risk and compliance solutions manager, and as a professional services PMO manager. Prior to that he ran an extensive series of organizational and agile transformation programs at JPMorgan Chase. He has also operated as an independent consultant with clients in North America, Asia and Europe.

Stephen is certified as a SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
